Rise

The Rise series was created for a site specific solo exhibition for Searcys of London. Lisa was asked to create a sculpture for their foyer at the top of the Gherkin, one of the most iconic and recognisable landmarks of London’s skyline.

The sculpture was the first thing to greet visitors as they stepped out of the lift at the very top of the building. The curved wings mirrored the curved interior walls and the radial geometry of Norman Foster’s incredible building.

The internal structure and external texture are made entirely from hand cut paper and card.
